Watching TV and especially using the telephone is such a great improvement. Hearing aids do not necessarily amplify all sounds equally they amplify specific tones (frequencies) you have been missing before. They are very comfortable, clear, natural sounding and inconspicuous. In a noisy, crowded environment it is much easier to be selective and tune out unwanted sounds. The whole process of testing, fitting and adjustments was a pleasure. A complete selection of brands and types were available. Overall, I am very pleased and would not hesitate referring friends to you for hearing advice. Floyd
This is by way of a special expression of thanks for the attention you recently provided to me when I was having hearing aid problems with my Siemens equipment. You cleared up the difficulty I was enduring and gave me very courteous and helpful advice & suggestions along the way. I am presently having no further difficulty. You have a real knack of knowing how to be helpful. As a former prison warden I have great respect for that quality & you have it. You should also know that your regular visits to the Croixdale Apartments where I reside are much appreciated by those residents to whom you offer help. Thanks again and keep up your good work. Sincerely, Jack G. Young
What a difference a good pair of hearing aids can make! I had standard issue, big plugs in each ear before and it was like having my head in a box, These new hearing aids are small (I can't feel the presence at all) and very powerful. I hear so much better and it's a natural sound. The remote control is a plus that I couldn't do without. I can amplify my hearing in one ear or the other without taking them out, and mute the whole system if the occasion warrants it (the movie theater for example). And Jim has been a helpful and reassuring professional in this harrowing phase of my old age. Thanks to everyone. Lenore J. Methven
I recently.purchased a set of Unitron Next 4 behind-the-ear hearing aids. At the same time, my wife bought an in-the-ear Unitron Next 4 hearing aid. After spending approximately two months researching and shopping for a worthwhile business from which to buy our devices, we decided to use the services of Mr. Jim Sopland at Valley Hearing Concepts. We were impressed with his frank discussion of various hearing aid models and the companies that produced them. In addition, his prices were at the lower end of the price range we had encountered during our preliminary shopping period. But just as important was his service and his personal demeanor. Through a number of appointments and without hurrying us, he carefully guided us in the use of these aids. We were able to question and demonstrate any difficulties we may have had during our initial adjustment period. To others searching to buy hearing aids, we can recommend, without exception, Mr. Sopland's services. Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Futcher
I was aware that my hearing had diminished. I was missing out on conversations as well as other things I used to hear, but I was unwilling to try a hearing aid. I did not want to go through all the hassles and initations I associated with getting a hearing aid; multiple office visits, fittings, adjustments, all for something that may not even help. After gentle persuasion from several family members, I decided to at least go in for a hearing test. My husband's hearing aid had recently quit working, so he agreed to go with me to Valley Hearing Concepts, located very close to our residence. After our hearing tests we realized how much we didn't hear. Jim was very personable and took time to explain everything thoroughly. We both got hearing aids and adjusted to them immediately. I cannot believe how well I can hear and now realize how much I was missing. If you are having a hearing problem, my husband and I highly recommend an appointment with Jim Sopland at Valley Hearing Concepts. Sincerely, Alice Engstrom
I wanted to drop you a line to say Thank you for helping me with my new hearing devices. I was increasingly saying, "What did you say?" because I was missing some of the words. My wife kept insisting I get my hearing checked. After many months of her nagging I agreed to do it. I think I knew what the outcome would be but did not want to admit it. I was not going to be walking around with big hearing aids protruding from my ears. I saw your ad in the local paper and made an appointment. I found you very courteous and wanting to solve my hearing problem as well as my vanity about hearing aids. In a very low pressure sales pitch I purchased the new behind your ear hearing aids. They are very lightweight and comfortable to wear. The follow up service has been very rewarding. Not often do you get what you want and feel good about it. I feel like you do care and that is satisfying. My wife no longer screams at me for not hearing her and our life is back to normal. Thank you for your help and feel free to give my name as a reference for your services. Sincerely, Terry Cartony
I finally made the decision in 2003 that I needed to do something about my hearing and I've been wearing hearing aids ever since. I've been to a number of different hearing places and up to the point that I came to Valley Hearing Concepts I would have to say that my prior experiences were for the most part frustrating. Jim is one of those rare breeds of people who are truly passionate about what they do. He didn't talk AT me; he talked TO me, as we discussed my concerns and my frustrations. We discussed what my expectations were, what my options were, and what we could accomplish. At one point in our conversation, Jim said that he chose not to see things as a problem but rather as a challenge. This philosophy was very evident in my experience with Jim. He really went the extra mile to make sure that everything possible that could be done was done, and done well. I am completely satisfied with the way that he took care of things for me and I will definitely be returning to him for all of my future needs. Roxanne Fisher
Making the decision to improve upon my hearing difficulties was an experience I wouldn't want to endure again. My approach was all wrong. I thought it prudent to subject myself to several hearing tests and subsequent sales pitches for hearing instruments, all the while rebelling by satisfying my natural instincts to procrastinate. That behavior got me nowhere. After a high-priced, out of the question sales pitch that was again rejected, you and I met and came to a sensible decision about hearing aids. I'm happy your professionalism and salesmanship made me corne to my senses and act upon good advice. Your very competitive pricing has greatly helped our business relationship. It's been more than a year and a half since you fitted me with my first hearing aids. With your assistance I selected the Unitron Moxi 8 and life has been greatly improved by being able to hear properly. I only know they are being worn when I retire for the night and remove them. Those instruments have some delightful options: the internal, easy access programs are what pleased me. For instance, I love good music and when attending concerts, I merely press the little button to emulate the sound of an equalizer with surround sound. Absolutely wonderful! Another press of the button quiets down background so I can hear voices clearly. My wife never did like to hear "what?" The aids have pushed that into history. I made a good choice with hearing professionals: your cheerful service is exceptional. I'd do it again without hesitation. Warm regards, Byron Doyle
I wish to say how pleased I am with my Unitron "behind the ear" hearing aids. It has been 9 months since my examination and your very thourough explanation of my range of hearing was refreshing. The corrections programmed into my Unitron aids have met or exceeded my expectations for improved hearing. You may recall that I was somewhat reluctant to purchase after a bad experience with another company, but your "no pressure" commitment convinced me to try again. Thank you! I know my hearing will never again be 100% but the improvement given me by you and Unitron is a real joy. Again I thank you. Sincerely, Bill Knutson |
